  • Hardware decoding performance has been improved.

VLC’s features

The version of VLC available in Microsoft’s Store doesn’t feature all the options included in the classic VLC app and does not support Blu-ray or DVDs. If you want to benefit from those features, you should consider getting the desktop version instead.

VLC media player is a portable free and open-source, cross-platform media player and a streaming media server written by the VideoLAN project. The VLC app is compatible with all operating systems, mobiles, desktop or TVs.

VLC media supports virtually all audio and video formats, including subtitles, streaming protocols, and rare file formats.

Before this update, users reported that the app used to crash quite frequently. Fortunately, this issue has also been fixed, and now everything should work just fine.

To download VLC, you’ll need approximately 23.36-86.53MB.
